Montana Is Our Stage
Whether they’re new to the ballet studio, returning to a previous passion, or continuing a lifelong journey, our Adult Summer Intensive dancers are proving that ballet truly is for everyone.
This week has been filled with ballet, conditioning, character, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), visits with physical therapist Kelsey Wadsworth of APRS and Cailyn Gillis of Pursuit Dietetics, pointe and pre-pointe, swing dance, and rehearsals as they prepare to perform at the Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts.
At MBC we believe that dance is for everyone, and that there is always more to learn, discover, and enjoy, at every age and every stage of life. Visit www.montanaballet.org for more information about our year-round adult options.

Ballet class is only part of the story.
During our Dancing Under the Big Sky Intensive and Junior Intensive our students spend their days building far more than technique.
This summer they’ve explored:
🎭 Acting for dancers with Riley O’Toole from Shakespeare in the Parks
🥗 Nutrition for performance and injury prevention with Cailyn Gillis of Pursuit Dietetics
💪 Physical therapy and injury prevention with Kelsey Wadsworth of APRS
Alongside their daily ballet, pointe, contemporary, variations and rehearsals, these sessions help dancers become healthier, smarter and more complete artists.
We’re grateful to the professionals who shared their expertise and help make this summer such a meaningful experience! @pursuitdietetics @kelseymt1

Well...our Nutcracker mice certainly made the most of summer.
They explored Bozeman...
met a conductor...
worked out...
went hiking...
visited museums...
crashed Shakespeare...
bowled a few frames...
got glamorous...
and somehow found time to learn the Fendi dance.
Not bad for three little battle scene mice.
Now it’s your turn.

“To squeak...or not to squeak...”
Our Nutcracker mice decided a little Shakespeare was exactly what summer needed.
Turns out not every production is looking to cast a battle mouse.
Let’s just say... crashing the stage wasn’t part of the script. Our apologies to @montana_shakespeare for the uninvited whiskered thespian!

Today’s stop on the Mice Around Town tour: Ennis Fish Bowl!
Our Nutcracker battle scene mice traded toy swords for bowling balls and a friendly game of pool.
Strike? ...Not quite.
Spare? Maybe.
Competitive spirit? Absolutely.
Let’s just say they’re much better at battling toy soldiers than picking up a 7–10 split.
